We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Legal Secretary to join our dynamic legal team. Duties
- Prepare, review, and manage legal documents such as contracts, pleadings, briefs, and correspondence with precision and attention to detail.
- Assist attorneys with case management by organizing files in document management systems; ensure all case information is accurate and up-to-date.
- Schedule appointments, meetings, court dates, and coordinate interviews or client consultations efficiently.
- Manage incoming calls with professional phone etiquette; handle client inquiries and direct communications appropriately.
- Perform data entry, filing, and document review tasks to streamline office operations and ensure compliance with legal standards.
- Support litigation processes through proofreading legal drafts, transcribing recordings, and preparing exhibits or discovery documents as needed.
- Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information while supporting administrative functions such as billing, invoicing, and record keeping.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a legal secretary or paralegal within a law office environment; familiarity with legal administrative processes is essential.
- Demonstrated experience in drafting contracts, legal documents, and correspondence with excellent proofreading skills.
- Familiarity with multiple practice areas such as estate planning, family law, civil litigation, landlord-tenant law.
- Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication skills coupled with professional phone etiquette; ability to interview clients or witnesses effectively.
- Proficiency in document management systems and data entry; strong clerical experience including filing and record keeping.
