<Responsibilities>
- Manage and organize legal documents, case files, and correspondence using document management systems such as iManage and PCLaw.
- Conduct thorough legal research utilizing Westlaw, LexisNexis, and other research tools to support case preparation across multiple practice areas including estate planning, environmental law, family law, securities law, and more.
- Draft, review, and proofread legal documents such as contracts, pleadings, discovery requests, and correspondence with precision and clarity.
- Assist attorneys with case management tasks including data entry, filing, scheduling court dates, and maintaining litigation calendars.
- Perform client interviews and gather pertinent information for cases involving immigration law, tribal law & regulations, workers' compensation law, personal injury law, landlord-tenant disputes, patent law, and other specialties.
- Support administrative functions such as phone etiquette, executive administrative support, transcription, and organizing meetings or hearings.
- Conduct detailed document review and legal research to ensure accuracy and compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
- Facilitate communication between clients, courts, agencies, and internal teams to ensure timely updates and case progression.
<Requirements>
- Proven experience as a paralegal or legal secretary within a law office environment with familiarity in multiple practice areas including estate planning, environmental law, family law, securities law, immigration law, tribal law & regulations, patent law, workers' compensation law, personal injury law, landlord-tenant law, or litigation.
- Strong knowledge of legal research platforms such as Westlaw and LexisNexis.
- Proficiency in legal case management software including iManage and PCLaw; experience with document management systems is highly desirable.
- Excellent writing skills with the ability to draft clear legal documents; proofreading and transcription skills are essential.
- Demonstrated organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Effective interviewing techniques combined with strong attention to detail for accurate data collection.
- Familiarity with UCC law (Uniform Commercial Code), contracts drafting & review, and general legal administrative procedures.
- Ability to handle sensitive information discreetly while maintaining professionalism at all times.
