Role Overview:
As Legal Services Counsel, you will provide advice on transactions, administrative law, legislation, and general legal advice matters. You will be expected to draft contracts that support INDOT projects and initiatives, provide guidance to agency staff on compliance with federal and state laws, and assist staff with finding resolutions to those issues that impact INDOT's ability to meet its mission. Experience with construction contracts, bonds, government contracts, real estate, utilities, railroad law, and/or administrative law is beneficial but not a requirement of candidates. The role will primarily involve transactional and regulatory work; it will not include litigation responsibilities.

This position is located in INDOT’s Central Office.
Salary:
This position traditionally starts at an annual salary of $85,020.00. Salary for this position may be commensurate with education and job experience.
