Legal Specialist

Roles And Responsibilities

• Drafting and reviewing terms of contracts and other legal documents
• Advising departments and stakeholders, conducting legal research, and summarizing research on procedural matters
• Updating and abiding by the legal management tracking sheet and relevant SLA's
• Responsible for the registration process of the company with its customers, in accordance with the instructions of line manager
• Update and review the existing legal contract templates and ensure that they are up to the Business requirements
• Follow up on litigation with external counsel and consolidate progress reports
• Archiving the legal department's work as instructed by Senior legal manager
• Updating and consulting with line manager
  
  

Requirements

• Positive attitude, adaptable, and a collaborative team player
• Comprehensive and in-depth understanding of applicable law, including corporate law, data protection, anti-money laundering, lobbying, sanctions, and industry-specific regulations
• Excellent legal research skills
• Clear, concise communication skills
• Demonstrated ability to provide sound legal analysis, exercise good judgment, and provide actionable recommendations
• Practical problem solver who is self-motivated with a high degree of initiative
• Detail-oriented and able to work in a fast-paced environment
• Experience in dealing with regulatory bodies and government officials is an asset
• Strong academic record, an LLB, or an appropriate conversion course is an asset
• Additional language (such as French) is an asset
