Overview:
The role will have responsibility for supporting with competition law related issues, including driving competition compliance programs and training, horizon scanning to identify upcoming risks and development and implementation of strategies to address.
Responsibilities:
- Design and Maintain Compliance Structure: Develop and continuously improve policies, procedures, and systems to meet competition law requirements.

Identify and Address Risks: Detect potential risks, define preventive measures, and ensure their effective implementation across relevant functions.

Ensure Regulatory Compliance: Oversee adherence to remedies and commitments set by the Competition Authority and coordinate cross-functional execution.

Monitor Compliance Performance: Implement mechanisms to assess and enhance the effectiveness of compliance efforts.

Engage Internal and External Stakeholders: Collaborate with internal teams and maintain proactive dialogue with regulators. Represent the company in external platforms contributing to the broader conversation on competition law and compliance.

Advise Senior Leadership: Provide regular updates and strategic recommendations on compliance risks, actions, and regulatory developments.

Act as Competition Change Agent / Champion: Encourage a shift from reactive competition to proactive innovation via creating strong Competition Culture in organization
Qualifications:
- 10+ years legal experience at a leading law firm or corporate legal department.

Superb communication and drafting skills in English.

Proven track record of advising on and managing competition law risk, with pragmatic skills to balance legal risk against commercial priorities.

Good knowledge of the FMCG and retail landscape, and emerging risks in relation to the same.

Strong ability to identify, assess and mitigate risk, whilst enabling the business to move quickly.

Able to foster lasting relationships across varying organizational levels and among internal clients with the maturity to interface and persuade at all levels.
