Legal/Office Assistant

We are a small Alameda law firm focused on estate planning, trust administration, and probate, serving individuals and families across the Bay Area. We are looking for a legal/office assistant to join our team. This is a part-time position with flexible hours, around 24 hours per week.

Responsibilities include: performing general administrative functions (ex. greeting clients, answering telephones, handling mail, scheduling appointments, scanning and copying, etc.), preparing correspondence, setting up client matter files, drafting legal documents, and filing court and office documents.

Qualifications include: proficiency in Microsoft Office, strong typing and proofreading skills, excellent verbal and written communication skills, ability to take initiative, maintain client confidentiality, and a professional demeanor. A current California notary is a plus, but we are willing to assist with obtaining notary certification.
