LGV 1 Driver

Overview
We are seeking a professional LGV 1 Driver to join our logistics team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the safe and efficient transportation of goods, primarily using flatbed vehicles. This role offers an excellent opportunity for experienced drivers with a focus on commercial driving and delivery operations. Duties

• Operate LGV 1 vehicles, including flatbed lorries, in compliance with all road safety regulations and company policies
• Conduct pre-journey checks to ensure vehicle safety and roadworthiness
• Deliver goods to various locations, ensuring timely and secure transportation
• Load and unload cargo with care, adhering to proper handling procedures
• Maintain accurate delivery documentation and logs
• Communicate effectively with dispatch and clients regarding delivery schedules or issues
• Follow all health and safety guidelines to ensure a safe working environment at all times

Experience

• Proven experience as a commercial driver, preferably with delivery driver experience within the logistics sector
• Familiarity with flatbed vehicle operation is highly desirable
• Valid LGV 1 licence with a clean driving record
• Knowledge of road regulations and best practices for commercial driving in the UK
• Ability to handle physical tasks associated with loading and unloading cargo
• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail to ensure accurate deliveries and documentation

Pay: £44,200.00 per year
