Options for Hybrid Telework after classroom training (around 11 months).A personal coach/mentor assigned to you.Alignment with a team of experienced Claim Managers.Medical, legal and vocational professionals to assist you.Journey-level certification upon successful completion.Salary Information: $4,586.00 monthly beginning salary (87% of 50G for non-bilingual positions)$4,744.00 after six months (90% of 50G)$4,902.00 after ten months (93% of 50G)$5,271.00 after 22-months (100% of 50G Journey Level) 5% Annual Periodic Increase after completion of apprenticeship program up to $6,107.00Additional Salary Information: Spanish Bilingual jobs include a 5% salary increase for dual language responsibilities. If hired as bilingual, our top applicant will be required to pass an assessment of your ability to write and speak Spanish fluently. We do not use translating software.Permanent state employees who come into the program at or above 50G will be offered 100% 50G ($5,271).Permanent state employees who come into the program between 87% and 99% of 50G will retain their current salary until they naturally progress in accordance with standards of apprenticeship.All others will be placed at 87% of 50G, until they naturally progress in accordance with standards of apprenticeship.If accepted into this apprenticeship program, you may qualify for an apprenticeship stipend through your GI bill.The Department of Labor & Industries (L&I) is a diverse state agency dedicated to the safety, health, and security of Washington's workers. Some of what you’ll do: This job is complex. Claim Managers adjudicate and manage workers' compensation claims by authorizing or denying medical, vocational and monetary benefits and ensuring statutory time limits are met. As an apprentice you will do this while having your work checked for quality and accuracy. Work Schedule Options: Work shifts available for the first 11 months: Onsite – Monday – Friday, 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. or 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.Other work schedules, including hybrid telework, can be considered after the 11-month classroom training is complete. Overtime may also be available after the classroom training is complete.Vacation leave during the first 13 months is limited to specific dates based on the training schedule.State employees who meet the qualifications will become eligible for a generous retirement package at the end of the employee’s career.
