Liability Legal Claims Investigator (People and Internal Operations)

The Liability Legal Claims Investigator is responsible for attending small claims court on litigated subrogation claims; monitoring claims for possible litigation; accurate and

timely investigation, evaluation, and negotiation of property damage and liability subrogation claims; communicating with attorneys, County departments, and other

parties involved in the claim and identifying potential subrogation opportunities. This position must have knowledge of State specific self-insurance laws and regulations

and collaborate with the County Attorney's Office on litigated subrogation claims.

The People and Internal Operations Department provide a wide range of internal support services for the ongoing operation of County government which focuses on promoting operational best practices and efficient government operations. ISD provides various customer-based business services that include, but not limited to facility management, design and construction management, fleet management, risk management, surplus property disposition services, capital inventory management, and large-scale printing services. Through these various business lines, ISD is engaged in real estate development and management, Americans with Disabilities Act compliance, elevator regulation, materials management, and parking services.
