Key Responsibilities:
- Organize and maintain the library collection, including books, magazines, reference materials, and digital content.
- Assist students in locating and using appropriate resources for reading, research, and academic projects.
- Promote reading habits through engaging programs such as book clubs, storytelling sessions, and reading challenges.
- Guide students in research methods, citation practices, and ethical use of information.
- Maintain a quiet, respectful, and conducive atmosphere for both individual and group study.
- Collaborate with teachers by recommending and distributing curriculum-related reading materials.
- Manage the cataloging, shelving, and maintenance of all library items.
- Use library management systems to monitor checkouts, returns, overdue items, and inventory.
- Coordinate library-related activities and events such as Book Week, Author Visits, and Literary Competitions.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Bachelor s degree in Library Science or a related field (mandatory).
Skills & Attributes:
- Proficiency in using library management software and digital archives.
- Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
- A passion for literature and literacy development in school-aged children.
- Ability to create an engaging and inclusive learning space.
- Familiarity with modern reading tools and e-library platforms is a plus.
