Librarian

Job Summary
Join our dynamic CCS team as a Librarian, where you will play a vital role in managing and enhancing our library services to serve our students. This position offers the opportunity to oversee collection development, implement innovative information management strategies, and foster a love of learning through engaging educational initiatives. As a key contributor, you will ensure seamless access to resources, uphold archival standards, and promote digital literacy, all while delivering exceptional customer service. Your expertise will help create an inspiring environment that encourages discovery, research, lifelong learning, and a love for reading.

Duties

• Manage and curate library collections, including cataloging and archival processing to ensure accurate and accessible resources (Dewey Decimal System).
• Knowledge of collection management, cataloging standards (such as Resource Description & Access), and archive management practices.
• Provide research assistance and teaching support to students, fostering informational literacy and resource utilization.
• Promote library services and community outreach efforts to increase engagement and awareness.
• Promote and schedule author visits.
• Work with a book fair company to run a successful fundraiser for the library.
• Organizational skills and classroom management skills.
• Ability to engage students and read books aloud, fostering a love for reading.
• Able to lift up to 20 lbs and bend, kneel, sit, and stand without any problems.

Pay: $25.00 - $45.00 per hour
