Librarian

Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Librarian to join our team. The ideal candidate will create a nurturing and stimulating learning environment for young learners, fostering their academic, social, and emotional development. This full-time position requires a commitment to providing high-quality education and inspiring students to reach their full potential.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that align with library curriculum standards.
• Create a positive and inclusive environment that encourages student participation and collaboration.
• Assess and evaluate student progress through various methods.
• Conduct annual inventory of library collections
• Communicate regularly with parents and guardians regarding student progress and classroom activities.
• Collaborate with colleagues to enhance instructional practices and share resources.
• Participate in professional development opportunities to stay current with educational trends and best practices.
• Manage classroom behavior and maintain a safe and respectful learning environment.
• Integrate technology into the classroom to enhance learning experiences.
• Organize and participate in school events, field trips, and extracurricular activities.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in education or a related field.
• Valid teaching certification in Library Science PK-12
• Strong understanding of child development and effective teaching strategies.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to create engaging and age-appropriate lesson plans.
• Proficiency in using educational technology and tools.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Previous teaching experience in an elementary school setting is preferred but not required.

Hours- 8:35am – 4:05pm
