This position involves advanced professional library work with supervisory and managerial responsibility in a variety of library operations. This position will be responsible for overseeing children and young adult programs and outreach initiatives at the Main Library. The incumbent in this position will be responsible for overseeing the operations of a library branch facility, supervising staff, implementing collection development policy, training, performing a variety of administrative duties, providing staff development, handling branch maintenance requests, managing security, assisting with auditorium reservations, and coordinating setup. This position entails supervising a team of professional, para-professional, technical, and clerical staff engaged in various phases of library operations. This position reports to the Main Library Manager, who reviews work to ensure achievement of desired goals and objectives.
