ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned by the City Administrator or Library Board that are appropriate to this job description.
· Supervises the work of assigned personnel, including assigning and reviewing work, providing guidance, and conducting performance evaluations.
· Manages, supervises, and assists with daily functions of a Library Department, including assisting patrons with answering phones, fielding library related questions, gathering and reporting the amount of revenue generated by the library, and making deposits.
· Recommends, develops, and assists in the implementation of goals and objectives for assigned Library.
· Develops and administers budget for the library. Manages the spending of allocated funds to ensure that new materials arrive on a regular basis throughout the fiscal year.
· Coordinate continued training and development of staff members.
· Locates and requests materials through inter-library loan.
· Performs routine descriptive cataloging and coding of library materials in all formats.
· Markets and promotes library services to the community.
Pay: From $63,200.00 per year
