Job Overview

Duties
- Lead the development and management of the library’s collections, including cataloging, resource description & access (RDA), and archives management to ensure efficient retrieval and preservation of materials
- Oversee budgeting processes, including resource allocation for acquisitions, digitization projects, and technology upgrades
- Manage integrated library systems (ILS), databases, metadata standards, and digital platforms to optimize resource discovery and user experience
- Supervise staff in delivering exceptional library services, including reference assistance, research support, and community outreach programs
- Coordinate grant proposal writing efforts to secure funding for special projects such as digitization initiatives or archival preservation
- Implement social media management strategies to promote library programs and resources effectively across digital channels
- Ensure compliance with archival standards and intellectual property law while managing archival processing and data collection activities
- Develop and execute strategic plans for resource description & access (RDA), data management, and information organization to enhance research capabilities
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement through project management, staff training, and community engagement initiatives
Experience
- Proven experience in collection management, cataloging, archives management, or related fields within a library or information organization
- Demonstrated ability to manage budgets effectively while prioritizing resource needs and operational efficiency
- Extensive knowledge of integrated library systems (ILS), databases, metadata standards, and digitization processes
- Strong background in research methodologies, data collection techniques, and archival standards
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate across teams and engage with diverse audiences
- Experience in grant proposal writing and securing external funding for library projects is highly desirable
- Skilled in social media management and digital outreach strategies to expand community engagement
- Familiarity with intellectual property law relevant to digital resources and archival materials
- Exceptional organizational skills with a focus on project management, resource coordination, and strategic planning
