Tentative Academic Year Schedule (schedule would differ during breaks):
Excellent communication and public relations skills with a helpful, service-oriented approach.
Flexibility, enthusiasm, and ability to work effectively and relate to people of varying ages and backgrounds.
Excellent computer software skills (Microsoft Office Suite, email, and electronic calendar) as well as proficiency for learning and using new software, equipment, and web-based technologies, including databases.
Strong organizational skills with high attention to detail and accuracy, and the ability to handle multiple projects.
Strong ability to understand and follow instructions.
Ability to work independently and in a team environment, with or without direct supervision, and to handle interruptions.
Ability to use discretion and judgment in a variety of situations.
Ability to manage stress and manage emergency situations.
Demonstrated dependability and reliability for attendance and punctuality.
Ability to lift to 25 pounds.
Library or front desk experience.
Experience in a college environment.
