Library Technician – Digitization and Reformatting

Location: Onsite – Supporting the National Library of Medicine

Dynamic Business Group, Inc. (DBG), in partnership with Zimmerman Associates, Inc. (ZAI), is seeking experienced and detail-oriented Library Technicians to support large-scale digitization and collection reformatting efforts at the National Library of Medicine.

This is an excellent opportunity for candidates with hands-on scanning and metadata experience who thrive in a production-focused environment.

What You Will Do

• Prepare and track library materials for scanning

• Scan source materials following established standards

• Process digital images and metadata

• Perform quality assurance and quality control (QA/QC) on images and metadata

• Inventory materials and assist with shipping and receiving

• Review condition of materials after scanning and route for repair if needed

• Meet daily production goals (approximately 1,900 pages per team per workday)

What We Are Looking For

• At least 1 year of recent experience in library services

• At least 1 year of experience preparing materials for reformatting or digitization

• Experience scanning library materials

• Experience processing digital images and metadata

• Experience performing QA/QC on images and metadata

• Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accuracy in a high-volume environment

• Ability to handle fragile and special collection materials

Work Environment

• Onsite position

• Production-based environment with performance standards

• Full-time positions available (multiple openings)
