In addition, contribute to achieving school standards and benchmarks through all phases of Media/Library use that encompasses written formats, audiovisual aids, and computer technology.Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Qualifications: Instruct and assist students and staff in Library/Media Center which includes checking out materials and providing assistance in computer labs.Data input circulation records, forms, schedules and material records.Assist with issuing student I.D.s and providing related record-keeping. (Harrison High School Only)Maintain the circulation system for users and advise Library/Media Specialist regarding the selection of new materials, equipment, etc.Maintain accurate records of library resources by use of computer tracking of resource materials, fines, etc. Shelve returned materials.Gather materials (by Teacher request) for individual classes and assist students in these classes.Provide assistance in library after school hours for research and use of computer labs.Repair and maintain materials.

Track materials via the Dewey Decimal system. Keep library and media areas orderly.Type reports, forms, library schedules; use Winnebago Spectrum system for in-processing materials and equipment (labels, etc.)Maintain discipline in the Library/Media Center and computer labs.Generate overdue lists, fine lists, etc. and distribute to Teachers. Collect fines and assist with receipts.Perform crossing guard duties as assigned by school administration to include attending crossing guard training and direction action of children and traffic at assigned crosswalks in order to ensure safe crossing.

(K-8 Schools)Perform lunchroom monitor duties as assigned by school administration to include assisting students with lining up to receive their lunches, helping students open items on their trays, enforcing lunchroom rules, leading students to the lunchroom, dismissing students from the lunchroom, wiping down tables, and assisting with organizing and implementing indoor activities for students during inclement weather. (K-8 schools)Perform other duties as assigned.Education, Training and Experience: MUST BE "EVERY STUDENT SUCCEEDS ACT" (ESSA) QUALIFIED: EITHER WORKKEYS OR 48 + COLLEGE SEMESTER HOURS OR HIGHER.**Please see attachment for more information on WorkKeys Exam**High school diploma or equivalent.0 2 years experience in library or media center.Basic computer, math, communication, and interpersonal skills. Basic knowledge of Dewey Decimal System.
