In this vital role, you will provide comprehensive clinical counseling, psychotherapy, and case management services to diverse populations, including children, adolescents, adults, and seniors. Your expertise will help individuals and families navigate mental health challenges, developmental disabilities, trauma, addiction, and complex medical conditions. You will play an essential part in delivering patient-centered care through assessments, treatment planning, crisis intervention, and ongoing support—all within a collaborative environment committed to excellence and innovation.

Duties

  • Conduct thorough intake assessments to evaluate clients’ mental health needs, medical history, and social circumstances using HIPAA-compliant documentation practices.
  • Develop personalized treatment plans incorporating evidence-based therapies such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), psychodynamic therapy, behavioral therapy, applied behavior analysis (ABA), and motivational interviewing.
  • Provide individual, group, family, and crisis counseling sessions tailored to clients’ unique needs across a broad spectrum of conditions including PTSD, addiction recovery, autism spectrum disorder (ASD), Alzheimer’s care, geriatrics, and developmental disabilities.
  • Utilize EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems for accurate documentation of patient records, medical terminology entries, diagnostic evaluations using ICD-10/ICD-9 coding systems, CPT coding for billing purposes, and detailed clinical notes.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams—including medical professionals specializing in psychopharmacology—to coordinate holistic patient care plans.
  • Engage in case management activities such as patient advocacy, resource linkage within the community or home settings, and follow-up to ensure ongoing support and progress monitoring.
  • Conduct diagnostic evaluations utilizing DSM-5 criteria to identify mental health disorders accurately.
  • Implement crisis management protocols to respond swiftly to urgent situations involving behavioral health emergencies or safety concerns.
  • Participate in clinical research initiatives related to behavioral health interventions or medical records analysis to contribute to the advancement of best practices.
  • Offer specialized services such as Christian counseling or culturally sensitive approaches when appropriate to client preferences.
  • Collect data for quality improvement projects or research studies focused on behavioral health outcomes or service effectiveness.

Requirements

  • Valid state licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) with current certification in good standing.
  • Proven experience working with children and families in clinical settings—preferably with expertise in pediatrics or special education environments.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in psychotherapy modalities including cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), psychodynamic therapy, behavioral therapy, applied behavior analysis (ABA), and motivational interviewing techniques.
  • Strong knowledge of medical terminology related to mental health conditions; experience with ICD coding systems (ICD-10/ICD-9) and CPT coding for documentation and billing purposes.
  • Familiarity with EMR systems for efficient charting and data collection; experience with HIPAA compliance standards is essential.
  • Experience working within hospital or community-based settings involving home care or community outreach programs is highly desirable.
  • Ability to perform comprehensive patient assessments and diagnostic evaluations across diverse populations—including those with autism spectrum disorder (ASD), developmental disabilities, PTSD, Alzheimer’s disease, geriatrics, or addiction issues.
  • Skilled in crisis intervention strategies and managing behavioral health emergencies effectively.
  • Knowledge of psychopharmacology principles when collaborating with prescribing clinicians; understanding of ICD coding for accurate diagnosis documentation.
  • Excellent communication skills—both verbal and written—and the ability to work collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams.
