Position: Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW)
Part-Time | On-Site | Center-Based – Queens, NY
Job Overview/ Role Responsibilities :-We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) to join our multidisciplinary healthcare team.
The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in behavioral health, mental health counseling, and social work, with extensive experience working with diverse populations including children, adults, and seniors.
- Conduct psychosocial assessments and provide Psychotherapy/Counseling services to adults with clinical needs.
- Offer individualized support to clients with developmental disabilities and mental health needs
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to create and implement treatment plans.
- As an LCSW, you will provide comprehensive clinical assessments, therapeutic interventions, to promote mental wellness and improve patient outcomes. Your expertise in psychotherapy and psycho social will be instrumental in delivering high-quality patient-centered care across various settings.
Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough clinical evaluations-PSYCHO SOCIAL and diagnostic assessments utilizing medical terminology, ICD coding systems (ICD-10/ICD-9), and HIPAA-compliant documentation practices.
- Provide individual, counseling sessions employing evidence-based therapies such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), psychodynamic therapy, behavioral therapy, and applied behavior analysis (ABA).
- Implement specialized treatment plans for patients with developmental disabilities, autism spectrum disorder, PTSD, Alzheimer’s disease, geriatrics needs, and addiction issues.
- Utilize motivational interviewing techniques to foster patient engagement and facilitate behavior change.
- Manage crisis situations through effective crisis intervention strategies and crisis management protocols.
- Collaborate with medical professionals to coordinate patient care plans involving psychopharmacology, diagnostic evaluation, and medical records management.
- Maintain detailed medical documentation adhering to HIPAA regulations; ensure proper CPT coding and accurate recordkeeping for billing purposes.
- Participate in case management activities including intake assessments, treatment planning, progress monitoring, and discharge planning.
- Contribute to multidisciplinary team meetings by sharing insights on behavioral health issues and patient progress.
Experience
- Proven experience as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with a minimum of three years working in behavioral health or mental health settings.
- Demonstrated expertise in doing Psycho social evaluations, psychotherapy modalities including cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), psychodynamic therapy, behavioral therapy, and applied behavior analysis (ABA).
- Experience working with children and families in clinical or community environments; familiarity with pediatrics and special education is highly desirable.
- Prior involvement in hospital or healthcare facility settings with exposure to EMR systems for medical documentation and data collection.
- Knowledge of working with individuals with developmental disabilities or autism spectrum disorder; experience with working with people with disabilities is preferred.
- Familiarity with crisis management protocols and PTSD care strategies for diverse populations.
- Understanding of ICD coding systems (ICD-10/ICD-9) for diagnosis documentation; experience with CPT coding is advantageous.
- Ability to work collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams while maintaining compliance with HIPAA standards for patient privacy. Qualifications
- Expertise in Social Work and Medical Social Work
- Strong background in Case Management & coordinating services
- Experience with Mental Health and Behavioral Health needs
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills
- Ability to work effectively with individuals with developmental disabilities and families
- Master’s degree in Social Work + current LCSW licensure
- Prior clinical or healthcare experience preferred
- Familiarity with OPWDD, IPSIDD, or Article 16 guidelines is a plus
Position Details
- Rate: $100 per hour
- Location: Queens, NY
- Schedule: Monday–Friday or Saturday | Between 9 AM – 6 PM
- Setting: Outpatient- Queens
- Mainly for psychosocial evaluations
