The Barefoot Medical Spa is a physician-directed luxury medical spa operating under the umbrella of New Orleans Podiatry, led by Dr. Edward Lang, DPM — a podiatric physician with over 30 years of clinical experience in New Orleans.

We operate on a no-tip model. Your compensation reflects your professionalism — not the generosity of individual clients.

The Role

We are looking for a Licensed Cosmetologist or Esthetician to join The Barefoot as our Lead Spa Technician. This is a full-time, W-2 position with performance-based compensation growth. You will be the face of the spa — delivering clinical pedicures, manicures, facials, waxing, and specialized medical nail services under the clinical oversight of Dr. Lang.

What You'll Do

• Deliver clinical and luxury pedicures, manicures, facials, and waxing services to a medical-grade standard
• Perform specialized nail restoration services including KeryFlex and Onyfix (full training provided)
• Assist with clinical foot care services in coordination with Dr. Lang's podiatric team
• Maintain sterile, clinical treatment room standards between every service
• Build lasting client relationships and maintain a 60%+ rebooking rate
• Educate clients on home care, retail products, and ongoing treatment protocols
• Contribute to a professional, welcoming, and clinically excellent guest experience

What We're Looking For

• Active Louisiana Cosmetology or Esthetician License — required
• Minimum 1 year of hands-on experience across nail and skin services
• Comfortable in a clinical, physician-directed environment
• Exceptional attention to detail and sanitation standards
• Professional, warm, and client-focused demeanor
• Reliable, punctual, and committed to continuous learning
• Experience with medical or clinical spa services is a plus — not required
