Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Counselor to join our dynamic mental health team. In this role, you will provide comprehensive psychological support and therapeutic services to diverse populations, including adolescents and adults. Your expertise will help clients navigate mental health challenges, manage behavioral issues, and improve overall well-being through evidence-based practices. Duties

  • Conduct thorough patient assessments and diagnostic evaluations utilizing ICD-9 and ICD-10 coding systems to ensure accurate diagnosis and treatment planning
  • Deliver individual, group, and family counseling sessions using modalities such as psychotherapy, cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), psychodynamic therapy, and applied behavior analysis (ABA)
  • Implement crisis intervention strategies to effectively manage urgent mental health situations and ensure patient safety
  • Facilitate specialized counseling services including grief counseling, addiction counseling, PTSD care, gender issues counseling, and behavior management for clients with complex needs
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop personalized treatment plans and coordinate case management efforts for optimal patient outcomes
  • Maintain meticulous medical documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations, including progress notes, treatment plans, and medical records using appropriate medical terminology and CPT coding where applicable

Skills

  • Proven expertise in psychotherapy techniques tailored to diverse client populations
  • Strong proficiency in motivational interviewing to foster client engagement and facilitate change
  • Skilled in crisis management and crisis intervention protocols for acute mental health episodes
  • Knowledge of ICD-9/ICD-10 coding systems for accurate diagnosis documentation
  • Familiarity with telehealth platforms for remote counseling sessions
  • Ability to conduct intake assessments efficiently while demonstrating cultural sensitivity and empathy
  • Competence in social work principles combined with clinical counseling expertise
  • Experience with medical terminology related to behavioral health and patient care documentation
  • Understanding of psychopharmacology principles relevant to mental health treatment plans
  • Ability to perform diagnostic evaluations using evidence-based approaches such as behavioral therapy and psychodynamic methods
  • Strong communication skills for effective collaboration within healthcare teams and with clients’ families
  • Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and adhering to HIPAA standards in all patient interactions

Pay: $60,000.00 - $72,000.00 per year
