Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled, passionate, and Connecticut-licensed Esthetician and/or Nail Technician to join our award-winning spa team. The ideal candidate holds a valid CT license in esthetics and/or nail technology, brings hands-on experience in a professional spa or salon setting, and is genuinely committed to delivering an exceptional guest experience.

Key Responsibilities

- Perform customized facial and skin care treatments including European Deep Pore Facials, Organic Facials, Hot Stone Facials, Microdermabrasion, Dermasound Ultrasonic Facials, and specialty body treatments (Estheticians)

- Provide professional nail services including manicures, pedicures, and nail enhancements (Nail Technicians)

- Provide professional waxing services (eyebrow, facial, body, and Brazilian)

- Consult with clients to assess their skin and nail care needs and recommend personalized home-care routines and professional retail products

- Deliver spa package services including full-day retreat experiences and therapeutic treatment packages

- Maintain a clean, organized, and fully sanitized treatment room or nail station in compliance with Connecticut state regulations and spa standards

- Educate and engage clients with warmth, professionalism, and expert knowledge

- Collaborate with the spa team to maintain a calm, welcoming, and five-star atmosphere throughout the facility

Required Qualifications

- Active, valid Connecticut Esthetician License and/or Nail Technician License (required at time of hire)

- Minimum 1-2 years of hands-on experience in a professional spa, resort spa, or salon environment

- Demonstrated knowledge of professional treatments, products, and contraindications

- Strong client communication and consultation skills

- Reliable, punctual, and professional in all guest interactions

- Passion for the spa and wellness industry

Preferred Qualifications

- Experience in a high-end day spa or resort spa environment

- Familiarity with advanced modalities such as microdermabrasion, ultrasonic facials, or LED treatments

- Comfort with recommending and selling professional retail skin care and nail products

- Experience performing body treatments and full spa packages

- In-person only at Branford River Spa, 249 East Main Street, Branford, CT 06405

- Flexible scheduling available including weekday and weekend shifts

- Part-time and full-time positions available

Compensation

- Salon pay + commission structure

- Estimated earnings: $20 - $50 per hour based on experience and bookings
