Licensed General Contractor/Maintenance Specialist

Overview
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Handyman/General Contractor to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a diverse set of maintenance and repair skills, with a strong emphasis on problem-solving and attention to detail.

This position is unique because it we are seeking an individual who is versatile enough to to do larger skilled labor projects that require contracting experience as a licensed general contractor, however also be also be flexible enough with taking on scheduled smaller handyman jobs when need be.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine construction and maintenance tasks including basic plumbing, electrical work, and carpentry repairs.
• Conduct repairs on various equipment and fixtures as needed.
• Move heavy furniture, appliances, and equipment.
• Assist trades with electrical, plumbing, and HVAC repair work.
• Respond promptly to maintenance requests from management.
• Ensure all work is completed in compliance with safety standards and regulations.
• Maintain an organized workspace and keep track of inventory for tools and materials.
• Assist in the installation of new equipment or fixtures as required.
• Communicate effectively with team members regarding project status and any issues encountered.
• Perform walk-through assessments and prepare cost estimates.
• Paint surfaces and apply stain as needed.
• Coordinate service with customers and handle complaints professionally.
• Operate and maintain tools and equipment in a safe and efficient manner.

Requirements

• You will be a 1099 Employee – You will need contractor insurance.
• 1-2 Professional References Required in order for an interview.
• Proven experience as a Handyman/General Contractor or in a similar role.
• Strong knowledge of various maintenance and general contracting techniques and methods.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently as well as with a team, and manage time effectively.
• Strong communication skills to interact with team members and management.
• Physical ability to perform manual labor, including lifting heavy objects when necessary.
• Valid driver’s license, clean driving record, and reliable transportation.
• Proficient in using hand and power tools.
• Knowledge of construction techniques and materials.
• Able to perform basic mathematical calculations and convert measurements.
• Able to sit, stand, kneel, lift, and climb ladders.
• Strong organizational, multi-tasking, and problem-solving skills.
• Attention to detail, positive attitude, and strong work ethic.

Job Type: Contract

Pay: $35.00 - $38.00 per hour
