Thomaston Counseling Center is seeking a Licensed Mental Health Therapist that is able to work the TCC team and has experience working in an outpatient private practice. Must have their License completed as a LCSW, LMFT, LPC, Psychology, or Doctorate.

Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Mental Health Clinician to join our team. In this role, you will provide essential support to individuals experiencing mental health challenges in a hospital or clinical setting. You will work closely with patients, assisting them in their recovery journey while ensuring their safety and well-being. Your contributions will be vital in implementing treatment plans and fostering a supportive environment.
Essential Requirements:
- Must be able to come to the office and see clients in person in Thomaston, CT.
- Telehealth is only available as a backup option or at the client's request.
- We are NOT accepting anything less than the licenses stated above at this time & will be automatically rejected.
- Work with in hours of the business needs but willing to work with provider.
- W-2 pay- Waiting to be engages position as Part-Time and Per-Diem to cover providers when needed.
Responsibilities
- Assist in the implementation of individualized treatment plans for patients.
- Monitor patient behavior and report any changes to the healthcare team.
- Provide support during therapy sessions & other therapeutic interventions.
- Conduct medical documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Facilitate communication between patients, families, and healthcare providers.
- Engage patients in therapeutic activities that promote recovery and well-being.
- Assist with behavior management techniques to ensure a safe environment.
- Participate in case management discussions and contribute to multidisciplinary team meetings.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for both patients and staff.
- Use the EMR/EHR system, some administrative work or assist client in needed forms, complete clinical notes with in 24-48 hours of the appointment. Provider will receive training with EMR/EHR system as well have 24 hour access to the system and help.
- Be able to communicate effectively to all clients, families, health care professionals, colleagues, or supervisor.
- Understanding of medical documentation standards requirements, HIPAA compliance, & ICD-10 coding.
Skills
- Knowledge of behavioral health principles and practices.
- Familiarity with telehealth platforms and procedures.
- Experience working in an outpatient private practice.
- Proficiency in behavior management strategies.
- Ability to apply Cognitive Behavioral Therapy techniques effectively.
- Experience with child family counseling is a plus or dealing with family and children.
- Experience with working with attorney's, DCF, court cases.
- Certifications other than CBT
