Position Summary

Outpatient Therapy provides intensive clinical therapeutic services to children, adolescents and adults with identified mental health or substance abuse diagnosis. This service is designed to meet the specific mental health needs of the identified client as they relate to their diagnosis and can be provided in home, in or office, in school or other approved/ appropriate community settings. Outpatient therapy includes psycho-educational activities/interventions designed to assist the client of the reduction of dysfunction. Services are provided with client centered and family centered approaches and are delivered through intensive, time limited goal specific interventions.

Essential Job Duties/Responsibilities

- To deliver teletherapy, community, or in office services to clients as requested by the agency including the specific hours requested. These services may be provided in the office, community, and telehealth setting, by licensed mental health therapists.

- To provide therapeutic interventions to the identified client in order to enhance and foster the clients optimal functioning and interactions in the home and community.

- To continually assess client needs, service availability and appropriateness.

- To work cooperatively with treatment team members and the family in the provision of services to meet the goals developed in the treatment plan.

-To provide the appropriate documentation for service delivery including assessments, treatment plans, progress notes and billing that is submitted as required in the records documentation policy and procedures of the agency and DHHS.

Entry Requirements

- A master’s degree in a Mental Health field (ex. Social Work, Psychology, and Counseling)

- Licensure or Provisional Licensure in the state of North Carolina as LCMHC, LCMHCA, LCSW, LCSWA.

This position qualifies for HRSA Loan Repayment program.

Job Types: Part-time, Contract
