Part-time Licensed Mental Health Therapist

About the Role

Lartey Wellness Group is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Licensed Therapist to join our multidisciplinary team. As a practice committed to addressing health disparities and providing culturally resonant care, we are looking for clinicians who can bring diverse lived experiences to our client community.

We are currently prioritizing candidates who can help us meet a significant and urgent increase in demand for representative and culturally competent care, ensuring all clients find a therapeutic alliance that feels safe, seen, and supported.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Clinical Care: Provide individual and group therapy sessions through a hybrid model, including in-person sessions at our Laurel office and secure virtual sessions.
• Case Management: Manage a caseload of approximately 25 clients weekly, ensuring a balance of the mind, body, and soul through a strengths-based holistic counseling approach.
• Documentation Excellence: Complete highly accurate and timely clinical documentation, including therapy notes and interpretive summaries, in full compliance with administrative and audited standards.
• Collaborative Planning: Participate in planned supervision and case consultation conferences to identify the psychosocial needs of consumers and ensure the timely completion of Individualized Treatment Plans.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Licensure: Must hold an active Maryland License (LCPC, LCSW-C, LGPC, or LMSW).
• Education: Master’s or Doctoral degree in Mental Health, Counseling, Social Work, or Psychology.
• Cultural Competence: A strong commitment to serving diverse populations and an understanding of the intersectionality between identity and mental health.
• Client Age Range: Must be strictly comfortable working with children starting from 5 years old and adolescents upward (non-negotiable).
• Mobility: Must possess a valid driver's license and have access to a vehicle.

Compensation

• LGPC / LMSW: $60.00 per session ($70.00 per intake) — Applicable for both In-person and Virtual sessions.
• LCPC / LCSW-C: $85.00 per session ($95.00 per intake) — Applicable for both In-person and Virtual sessions.
