<Responsibilities>
- Conduct thorough intake assessments and diagnostic evaluations utilizing ICD-9 and ICD-10 coding systems to accurately identify client needs.
- Deliver individual, group, and family counseling sessions using evidence-based practices such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), psychodynamic therapy, art therapy, dance therapy, and applied behavior analysis (ABA).
- Implement crisis intervention strategies to ensure client safety during acute episodes, including crisis management and crisis response protocols.
- Provide specialized support for clients with developmental disabilities, autism spectrum disorder, PTSD, chronic pain, grief issues, addiction concerns, gender identity issues, and other behavioral health conditions.
- Maintain detailed medical documentation and records in compliance with HIPAA regulations while ensuring accurate coding with CPT (Current Procedural Terminology) and ICD (International Classification of Diseases) codes.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate case management efforts and optimize patient care outcomes.
- Utilize telehealth platforms effectively to extend mental health services remotely while adhering to clinical standards.
<Requirements>
- Valid Colorado licensure as an LPC, LCSW, or LMFT
- Proven experience in psychotherapy modalities including cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), psychodynamic therapy, grief counseling, addiction counseling, and behavior management techniques.
- Strong working knowledge of ICD-9/ICD-10 coding systems for diagnosis documentation.
- Experience working with children, adolescents, adults, geriatrics, or individuals with disabilities—especially those with autism or developmental delays—is highly preferred.
- Familiarity with medical terminology, medical records management, and HIPAA compliance standards is essential.
- Demonstrated ability to handle crisis situations effectively through crisis intervention and crisis management skills.
- Excellent communication skills for intake assessments, patient education, and collaborative team interactions.
- Telehealth experience is desirable to provide flexible service delivery options.
