Job Summary
The Nursing Home Administrator is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of a nursing home facility, ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations while providing high-quality care to residents. This role requires strong leadership and management skills to foster a positive environment for both staff and residents. The Administrator will work closely with healthcare professionals, families, and community resources to enhance the quality of life for all residents, particularly those with developmental disabilities, Alzheimer’s, and dementia.

Responsibilities

  • Manage all aspects of facility operations, including staffing, budgeting, and compliance with regulations.
  • Develop and implement care plans tailored to individual resident needs.
  • Supervise nursing staff and support personnel to ensure high standards of care.
  • Coordinate with healthcare providers to facilitate medical services for residents.
  • Foster a positive and supportive environment for residents and their families.
  • Oversee medication administration and ensure proper protocols are followed.
  • Maintain accurate records related to resident care and facility operations.
  • Lead staff training programs on best practices in senior care and memory care.
  • Engage in community outreach to promote the facility’s services and foster relationships with local organizations.

Skills

  • Proven experience in nursing home administration or long-term care management.
  • Strong understanding of assisted living, memory care, Alzheimer’s care, and dementia care practices.
  • Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities is highly desirable.
  • Excellent leadership skills with a focus on team building and staff supervision.
  • Financial acumen for budgeting and resource management.
  • Familiarity with operations management in a healthcare setting.
  • Strong communication skills to effectively interact with residents, families, and staff.
  • Ability to develop comprehensive care plans that address the unique needs of each resident.
  • Knowledge of social work principles as they relate to senior care. This position requires a dedicated professional who is passionate about enhancing the lives of seniors while ensuring operational excellence within the facility.

Job Type: Contract

Pay: $70.00 - $75.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
