Your critical skills in pharmacy operations, combined with hospital and LTC (Long-Term Care) pharmacy experience, will help us deliver exceptional service to diverse patient populations. Duties

  • Assist pharmacists with medication preparation, dispensing, and labeling in accordance with legal and safety standards
  • Manage medication inventory, including stock replenishment and proper storage procedures
  • Support patient intake processes by verifying prescriptions and updating patient records accurately
  • Administer medications via IV infusion under aseptic technique, ensuring sterile procedures are followed meticulously
  • Provide excellent patient service by answering medication-related questions and offering guidance on proper usage
  • Maintain detailed documentation of medication administration, inventory logs, and compliance records
  • Collaborate with healthcare teams to facilitate medication reconciliation and ensure optimal patient care in acute care or hospital settings

Requirements

  • Valid licensure as a Pharmacy Technician in the relevant jurisdiction with current certification
  • Proven experience working in LTC pharmacy, hospital, or acute care environments with a focus on patient care
  • Strong knowledge of medical terminology, pharmacy operations, and medication administration protocols
  • Hands-on experience with IV infusion preparation and aseptic technique is highly desirable
  • Familiarity with critical care procedures and medical equipment used in hospital settings
  • Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients, healthcare providers, and team members
  • Ability to multitask efficiently while maintaining attention to detail in a fast-paced environment

Pay: $18.00 per hour

Experience:

  • Pharmacy technician: 2 years (Preferred)

License/Certification:

  • Pharmacy Technician License (Preferred)
