Job Summary

Pill Save Pharmacy in Morro Bay is hiring a licensed Pharmacy Technician to support fast, accurate prescription processing and excellent patient service. You’ll work alongside pharmacists and the pharmacy team to ensure safe dispensing, strong workflow execution, and a high-quality customer experience.

Responsibilities

• Enter and process prescriptions accurately (new, refill, transfer)
• Handle third-party insurance billing, rejections, and prior authorization support
• Prepare prescriptions: labeling, counting, packaging, and workflow staging
• Manage inventory tasks: receiving, stocking, outdates, recalls, and returns
• Answer phones, assist patients, and coordinate with prescribers when needed
• Maintain compliance with pharmacy policies, HIPAA, and California regulations
• Support quality assurance steps to reduce errors and improve turnaround time

Requirements (Must Have)

• Active California Pharmacy Technician license (required)
• Minimum 1 year of pharmacy technician experience preferred (retail or LTC welcome)
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced setting
• Comfortable with pharmacy software and insurance claim processing
• Professional communication and customer service skills
• Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to ~25 lbs

Preferred (Nice to Have)

• Experience with high-volume workflow, bubble packaging, or delivery coordination
• Bilingual (Spanish/English)
