Description of Work
Murdoch nurses work as an integral part of an interdisciplinary team with physicians, psychologists, pharmacists, psychiatrists, and social workers to name just a few. Recruitment Range: $46,220.00 - $56,812.00
*A Sign-on bonus of $4,000 may be offered to the successful applicant(s) of this posting, contingent on the 2025-2026 Budget Approval.*

Conditional Requirement:
Successful candidate must be able to pass Healthcare Provider CPR and Non-Violent Crisis Intervention (NVCI) written and physical requirements as a condition of employment.
Successful candidate must have a valid Driver License.
This Position Is Exempt And Is EXEMPT From Certain Provisions Of The State Human Resources Act (GS 126)

We Will Be Recruiting For Multiple Positions With This Post. Your Application Will Be Considered For All Noted Open Positions.
Scheduled work hours/shift: Weekend Option- 12 hour shifts 6:30am-7pm. Schedule adjustments as needed/requested.
OPTION #1 : 6:30am - 7:00pm F/S/S (36 hr - one week), F/S/S/M (48hr - one week), rotating every other weekend
OPTION #2 : 6:30am - 7:00pm F/S/S; 36 hours/week - Permanent Part-Time
Shift Work Schedule Shift Premium
1st 6:30am-3pm 10% Weekend Only
2nd 2:30pm-11pm 15% Weekday & 25% Weekend
3rd 10:45pm-6:45am 20% Weekday & 30% Weekend
*Eligibility for Sign-on Bonus*
To qualify for the Sign-on Bonus, a newly hired permanent full-time or permanent part-time employee must work 30 to 40 hours per week to be eligible. Those who are eligible and working less than 40 hours a week will receive a prorated rate.
An employee is not eligible for a sign-on bonus if:
The employee has held a position in the North Carolina State government, including the judicial system, or the University of North Carolina system, within the last 12 months (the employee shall remain ineligible for 12 months from the separation date)
The employee has previously received a sign-on bonus from any State agency
DHHS has paid any contract placement or recruitment fees.

Veteran’s and National Guard Preference
Applicants seeking Veteran's Preference must attach a DD-214 Member-4 Form (Certificate of Release or Discharge from Active Duty) to their applications.
Applicants seeking National Guard Preference must attach an NGB 23A (RPAS), along with the state application if they are a current member of the NC National Guard in good standing.
Applicants who are former member of either the NC Army National Guard or the NC Air National Guard, with honorable discharge and six years of creditable service, must attach a copy of the DD 256 or NGB 22, along with the state application.
