Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our dynamic healthcare team. Responsibilities
- Perform thorough patient assessments, including vital signs, physical examinations, and health histories to inform care plans.
- Administer medications and injections accurately, including IV infusions and other specialized treatments such as botulinum toxin therapy.
- Manage airway support and ventilator care for patients requiring respiratory assistance.
- Document all patient interactions and medical procedures using electronic health record (EHR) systems like Epic, Ecin, and PCC with precision and compliance to HIPAA standards.
- Assist with diagnostic evaluations such as laboratory specimen collection, processing, and interpretation of results.
- Provide specialized care for patients with complex needs including Alzheimer’s disease, dementia, infectious diseases, or those requiring hospice or palliative care.
- Support patient education on medication management, nutrition, pain control, and discharge planning to promote optimal recovery outcomes.
Experience
- Proven experience working as an LPN in diverse healthcare settings such as hospital medicine, medical-surgical units, ICU or trauma centers, emergency rooms, or outpatient clinics.
- Critical care experience in Level I or Level II trauma centers is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with ICD-9/10 coding systems for accurate documentation and billing purposes.
- Experience providing long-term care in nursing homes or assisted living facilities with knowledge of dementia and memory care protocols.
- Hands-on experience with IV insertion, phlebotomy, catheterization, sterile techniques, and infection control procedures.
- Knowledge of physiology and anatomy to perform effective patient assessments and diagnostic evaluations.
- Ability to work with individuals with disabilities or developmental challenges across home & community care settings.
- Proficiency in EMR/EHR systems such as Epic, Ecin, and PCC for seamless documentation. Pay: $26.00 - $28.50 per hour
