Key Responsibilities:
- Provide patient/family-centered care that promotes optimal health outcomes
- Apply critical thinking and clinical judgment to assess and respond to patient needs, including complex or potentially life-threatening conditions
- Assist providers with patient examinations, treatments, and procedures
- Interview and screen patients to obtain medical history, chief complaints, and vital signs
- Perform both telephone and in-person patient screenings
- Accurately document all patient interactions, assessments, and care plans according to established policies
- Manage and prioritize incoming phone calls related to medications and medical concerns; collaborate with providers for follow-up actions
- Maintain clean, stocked, and organized exam rooms and clinical areas
- Participate in ongoing documentation and reporting of patient care activities
Additional Job Description
Education:
- Graduate of an accredited Licensed Practical Nursing (LPN) program
Licensure/Certification:
- Current LPN license in the state of South Carolina or a compact state
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA)
