Make a meaningful impact in the lives of residents within a dedicated 40-bed Long-Term Care (LTC) community. As a Skilled Nursing LPN, you will be a vital member of the clinical team, ensuring that residents receive high-quality, compassionate care in a safe and efficient environment. Key Duties:
Clinical Excellence: Administer medications and treatments to assigned residents according to established nursing standards of practice.
Care Coordination: Actively monitor and update individualized resident care plans to reflect their current status and needs.
Clinical Skills: Utilize specialized skills to manage IV medications and perform complex dressing changes as required.
Leadership & Supervision: Directly supervise assigned employees, including planning, directing work, and fostering a positive environment for employee engagement.
Performance Management: Participate in the supervisory lifecycle, including interviewing, hiring, training, appraising performance, and addressing employee complaints or problems.
Compliance & Safety: Maintain strict adherence to all laws, regulations, and corporate policies, ensuring the safety and well-being of both residents and staff.
Communication: Effectively communicate and exchange information with residents, families, and the interdisciplinary team in English, both orally and in writing.
Education: Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
Licensure: Current LPN licensure for the state of practice is required.
Certification: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
Technical Skills: Must possess the ability and proficiency to perform IV medication administration and dressing changes.
Physical Requirements: Ability to lift at least 35 lbs and the physical stamina to move, position, and assess information throughout the shift.
Clinical Knowledge: Strong familiarity with basic nursing skills and the therapeutic effects/side effects of administered medications.
Leadership Ability: Natural aptitude for supervising others, assigning work, and resolving problems within a team setting.
Communication: Ability to accurately measure and comprehend quantities and instructions while maintaining clear, professional documentation.
Setting: 40-Bed Long-Term Care / Skilled Nursing Facility
Work Type: Direct Hire Only
Schedule: Full-Time [6:00 pm - 6:30 am]
