ABOUT THE ROLE

We are seeking an experienced Salon Manager / Lead Stylist to oversee daily operations while actively working behind the chair.

This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who is skilled in hair services and confident in leading a team, maintaining structure, and upholding high salon standards.

Plush Rose Blowout Bar operates as a team-based salon (no booth rent or commission), focused on consistency, professionalism, and an elevated client experience.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys both styling and leadership responsibilities within a structured, professional environment.

• Wednesday: 2:00 PM – 6:00 PM
• Thursday: 10:00 AM – 6:00 PM
• Friday: 10:00 AM – 6:00 PM
• Saturday: 10:00 AM – 6:00 PM
• Sunday: 10:00 AM – 6:00 PM

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES

Behind the Chair

• Perform core salon services including blowouts, silk presses, haircuts, natural styling, and basic color services
• Deliver consistent, high-quality client experiences
• Maintain efficiency and proper service timing

Salon Management and Operations

• Oversee daily salon operations
• Maintain 80–85% or higher team productivity
• Track and manage daily performance using a scoreboard system
• Support scheduling flow and overall client experience
• Ensure front desk organization and workflow efficiency

Team Leadership

• Lead by example in professionalism and performance
• Support training and onboarding of team members
• Coach staff on service quality, timing, and client experience
• Maintain a structured, professional, and team-oriented environment
• Address performance issues appropriately

Salon Standards and Compliance

• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards
• Ensure work tickets and client flow processes are followed
• Oversee opening and closing procedures
• Ensure compliance with all base regulations and inspections

REQUIREMENTS

• Valid cosmetology license (any U.S. state)
• Prior salon experience required (management experience preferred)
• Ability to perform core salon services independently
• Strong blow-drying and finishing skills
• Ability to manage time, team performance, and client experience

A skills demonstration and leadership evaluation may be part of the interview process.

BASE REQUIREMENTS (FT. LEONARD WOOD)

• Must pass background check for base access
• Must serve all customers
• License must be available for inspection
• Must follow sanitation regulations (TB MED 531 & AFI 48-117)
• Must complete required annual training

COMPENSATION

$26.69 per hour total compensation, which includes:

• $21.14 per hour base pay
• $5.55 per hour in fringe benefits

The fringe benefit portion is provided in accordance with federal Service Contract Act guidelines and is part of the total compensation package.
