About the Role:

The Child and Family Therapist plays a crucial role in supporting the mental health and emotional well-being of children and their families. This position involves conducting assessments, developing treatment plans, and providing therapeutic interventions tailored to the unique needs of each family. The therapist will work collaboratively with parents, caregivers, and other professionals to create a supportive environment that fosters positive change. By utilizing evidence-based practices, the therapist aims to empower families to overcome challenges and improve their overall quality of life. Ultimately, the goal is to facilitate healthy relationships and promote resilience within the family unit.

Minimum Qualifications:

Master's degree in Social Work, Psychology, Counseling, or a related field.
Valid state licensure as a therapist (LMFT or LCSW).
Experience working with children and families in a therapeutic setting.

Preferred Qualifications:

Certification in play therapy or other specialized therapeutic modalities.
Experience with trauma-informed care and working with diverse populations.

Responsibilities:

Conduct comprehensive assessments of children and families to identify mental health needs and challenges.
Develop and implement individualized treatment plans that address the specific goals and needs of each family.
Provide individual, group, and family therapy sessions using evidence-based therapeutic techniques.
Collaborate with schools, healthcare providers, and community organizations to ensure a holistic approach to treatment.
Maintain accurate and confidential records of client progress and treatment outcomes in compliance with legal and ethical standards.
