Duties

  • Conduct individual and group therapy sessions using evidence-based practices such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT).
  • Provide crisis intervention and management for clients experiencing acute distress.
  • Perform comprehensive client assessments and diagnostic evaluations to develop tailored treatment plans.
  • Engage in child and family counseling, focusing on the unique needs of each family member.
  • Facilitate group therapy sessions that promote healing and support among peers.
  • Maintain accurate medical documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations, including ICD-9 and ICD-10 coding.
  • Utilize telehealth platforms for remote therapy sessions as needed.
  • Conduct research and data collection to contribute to clinical practices and improve patient outcomes.
  • Stay informed about the latest developments in behavioral health, including addiction counseling, grief counseling, chronic pain counseling, and PTSD care.

Qualifications

  • Valid Missouri state licensure as an LPC, LCSW, LMFT, or LP is required.
  • Master’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, Counseling, or a related field is required.
  • Experience working with children, individuals with developmental disabilities, or those facing mental health challenges is preferred.
  • Familiarity with medical terminology, medical records management, and behavioral health documentation standards.
  • Strong understanding of crisis intervention techniques and behavior management strategies.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to build rapport with clients from diverse backgrounds.
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development through clinical research and training opportunities.

Pay: $64,000.00 - $72,000.00 per year
