Mental Health Counselor (LPC, LMFT, or LCSW)

JOB DESCRIPTION

My Psychiatrist is a well-established multi-disciplinary outpatient mental health group practice. We are seeking Full-Time Licensed Counselors/Therapists with experience providing outpatient psychotherapy. Counseling residents/supervisees are welcomed to apply.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Conduct diagnostic assessments to diagnose psychological disorders using evidence-based practices and consultations
• Formulate and create personalized interventions, treatments, and management plans for patients
• Develop treatment plans and set therapeutic goals with patients
• Provides psychotherapy by utilizing evidence-based therapeutic approaches, both in-person and telehealth
• Foster a supportive and non-judgmental counseling environment to promote a positive therapeutic relationship with clients
• Maintain complete, accurate, and current records of all clinical services rendered, includes initial evaluations, progress notes, summary notes and all other necessary documentation
• Maintain confidentiality for all patient records
• Provide individuals with resources needed to achieve personal goals
• Measuring the effectiveness of interventions and implementing changes where required
• Stay up-to-date with advancements in the field of mental health and continue professional development

QUALIFICATIONS

• Master degree in Psychology, Counseling, Social Work or similar disciplines
• Licensed as LPC, LMFT, or LCSW in the state of Virginia
• Resident or supervisee candidates near completion of being fully licensed are welcomed to apply
• Experienced with a variety of psychotherapy modalities, familiar with a wide range of mental health problems
• Experience working with common mental health disorders and diagnosis such as MDD, ADHD, anxiety, PTSD, trauma, grief, etc.
• Proficient with planning and performing psychological therapy & risk assessment

Pay: $85,000.00 - $99,000.00 per year
