Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN/LPN)

Role Summary

The Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) provides high-quality, patient-centered care within a structured and supportive clinical environment. This role is essential in delivering consistent, compassionate care while supporting patients’ overall health and well-being.

Working under the supervision of the Registered Nurse and Nurse Manager, the LVN plays a key role in medication administration, patient education, and clinical support. This is an excellent opportunity for a dedicated nurse seeking stability, meaningful patient interaction, and a collaborative team culture within a contract setting.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Administer medications and treatments accurately and safely in accordance with physician orders

  • Educate patients on medications, treatment plans, and care expectations

  • Monitor patient conditions and report changes promptly to the care team

  • Document patient care thoroughly and accurately using electronic systems (training provided)

  • Support daily patient care needs within a clinical environment

  • Perform advanced clinical procedures, including:

    • Gastrostomy tube care and enteral feedings

    • Foley catheter care

    • Tracheostomy care

  • Collaborate with nursing staff and interdisciplinary team members to ensure coordinated, high-quality care

  • Maintain compliance with clinical protocols, safety standards, and regulatory requirements

Required Qualifications

  • Active Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) license in the state of Texas

  • Minimum of one (1) year of direct patient care experience (two (2) years preferred)

  • Strong clinical skills and attention to detail

  • Ability to work flexible hours, including extended shifts when needed

  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills

  • Compassionate, reliable, and patient-centered approach to care

Desired Qualifications

  • Experience in structured clinical or long-term care environments

  • Experience performing advanced clinical procedures such as enteral feeding and tracheostomy care

  • Strong documentation and electronic health record (EHR) skills

  • Ability to adapt in a dynamic healthcare setting while maintaining high standards of care

Contract | Evening Shift

Schedule & Contract Details

  • Shift: 2:00 PM – 10:00 PM

  • Flexibility required for up to 16-hour shifts as needed

  • Rotating schedule with every third weekend off

  • Start Date: April 1

  • Contract Length: Minimum 24 weeks with potential for extension
