About This Job
The Louisiana Board of Massage Therapy is a regulatory agency whose goal is to protect the health, safety and welfare of the public
as well as the integrity of the profession by regulating the practice of massage therapy. The Board seeks to insure that massage
therapists meet certain educational levels, comply with ethical and legal standards applicable to the profession, and that massage
establishments comply with the laws and rules governing the massage establishment operations.

This is a small regulatory office that supports the seven-member Massage Therapy Board. A fast-paced work environment that not only regulates the massage profession but also serves to
protect the public by ensuring safety within the profession.

Minimum Qualifications
Three years of experience in the issuance, maintenance, or reinstatement of licenses; OR
Six years of full-time work experience in any field; OR
A bachelor's degree.
Experience Substitution:
Every 30 semester hours earned from an accredited college or university will be credited as one year of experience towards the six years of full-time work experience in any field. The maximum substitution allowed is 120 semester hours which substitutes for a maximum of four years of experience in any field.

Ensures that licenses, renewals, and license management by the Louisiana Board of Massage Therapy are processed promptly and audited for compliance. Manage day-to-day office functions and provide administrative support to the Assistant Director and the Executive Director
This is a small regulatory office that supports the seven-member Massage Therapy Board. A fast-paced work environment that not only regulates the massage profession but also serves to
protect the public by ensuring safety within the profession. Works with the Assistant Director and Executive Director and supervises clerical positions as applicable. Acts as head resource for applicants and licensees by managing phone lines and email inquiries to the office. The office guides licensees through the process of initial licensure and assists with maintaining credentials and following the rules and policies throughout their licensure. Processes and oversees new applications for businesses and professionals, ensuring qualifications
are met. Processing all licensing management functions, including but not limited to address changes, name changes, and education monitoring and renewal processing. Inputting and managing data in regulation software and paper files for compliance, Board reporting, and state reporting. Manages administrative office functions to ensure productivity and compliance

Compensation:
The salary offered will be determined based on qualifications and experience.
