Responsibilities

Summary : (Fully Remote/Virtual role) Frontdoor seeks a talented, entrepreneurial, and self‑motivated Licensing Specialist to support the Product & Regulatory legal team. Reporting to the Sr Manager, Legal, this role will support the preparation, submission, tracking, and maintenance of a broad range of licensing and regulatory filings, including service contract provider registrations, license renewals, officer‑level updates, and related documentation. The ideal candidate is detail‑oriented, highly organized, and comfortable coordinating across internal teams and external regulators to help ensure timely compliance across multiple jurisdictions.

Responsibilities:
Applications, Renewals & Regulatory Filings

Assist with service contract provider (SCP) and trade contractor registration and renewal applications.

Support individual and entity level insurance producer, adjuster, and seller license renewals, ensuring all required documentation is complete and submitted on time.

Assist in managing surety bonds, including updates, renewals, and requirements.

Support officer‑level updates such as biographical affidavits, fingerprinting requirements, and background checks.

License Tracking & Maintenance

Track renewal dates for all adjuster, producer, seller, trade contractor, and service contract provider licenses.

Maintain accurate and current entity‑level licensing records in the company’s regulatory licensing and internal tracking systems.

Update background disclosures for officers, directors, producers, and adjusters.

Documentation & Coordination

Coordinate signatures—including wet, notarized, and electronic—across officers and directors.

Prepare and submit invoices, check requests, and associated licensing fees.

Maintain organized digital and physical records for audit readiness and regulatory compliance.

Research & Administrative Support

Conduct research on licensing requirements, regulatory changes, or jurisdiction‑specific rules.

Provide general administrative support to the Licensing/Legal team as needed.

Actively participating in a collaborative manner in cross-functional business teams to identify, evaluate and resolve complex business issues and risks.

Willingness to handle other projects and matters as may be assigned from time to time.

Physical Role Requirements : Be seated at a computer intermittently for up to eight hours a day. Move up to 10 pounds occasionally, by lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, or otherwise repositioning objects. Sitting for long periods of time while using office equipment such as computers and phones. Repetitive motions using hands and digits; such as movement of wrists, hands and fingers while picking, pinching and typing during your normal working environment.

Minimum Education, Licensure and Professional Certification requirements: High school diploma or equivalent required, Remote notary certification preferred or willingness to obtain remote notary status

Minimum Experience required (number of years necessary to perform role) : 1+ years of experience required, ideally with some experience in the insurance or construction industry, but candidates with strong transferable experience will also be considered

Travel: Remote, but willingness to travel to business locations as required.

Other/State Specific

This role pays between $55,000/Yr to $70,000/Yr and your actual base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, responsibilities, experience, and location.
