GENERAL DESCRIPTION:
Serves as a subject matter expert in the Clinical Intervention Unit, providing support to Technicians and the Supervisor. Identifies areas for improvement and develops initiatives to address these issues in collaboration with the Supervisor. Review and update process guidelines for TF/STAR functions and identify training or retraining needs for staff. Facilitate operational tasks by offering technical guidance and support. Guides the team to ensure they meet their objectives and comply with regulatory training requirements set by relevant authorities.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Assists in the development and implementation of strategies aimed at improving quality measures, including adherence to standards for diabetes, hypertension, cholesterol, statins, Medication Therapy Management (MTM), polypharmacy, and Coverage of Benefits (COB).
- Identifies process trends and collaborates with the supervisor to propose action plans for improvement. Offers timely feedback on areas of opportunity to optimize process management and time utilization.
- Manages technical issues related to the dialing system, ensuring calls are handled according to established goals with minimal disruptions. Supports the supervisor in overseeing system processes, such as call monitoring, uploads, and file management.
- Assists in the operations of the Unit, monitoring processes, and providing support to staff in addressing any issues that arise.
- Records, tracks, and reports call metrics for technicians and the team.
- Assists the team by addressing obstacles that affect their performance and ensuring smooth operations.
- Brings any process-related issues or resource challenges to the supervisor’s attention for resolution.
- Supports unit operations during periods of heavy workload or when delegated tasks arise.
- Must comply fully and consistently with all company policies and procedures, with local and federal laws as well as with the regulations applicable to our Industry, to maintain appropriate business and employment practices.
- May carry out other duties and responsibilities as assigned, according to the requirements of education and experience contained in this document.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Education and experience: Associate’s Degree in Pharmacy Assistant. At least two (2) years of experience in areas of pharmacy, medical plans, Pharmacy Benefits Management (PMB), and/or specialty pharmacy
Certifications / Licenses: A valid Pharmacy Technician License and Registration is required.
