Job Summary:
The Lifeguard is responsible for ensuring the safety and well-being of all guests using the swimming pool and recreation areas of the hotel. The role includes monitoring activities, enforcing pool rules, providing first aid and emergency response when required, and maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment in line with hotel standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and monitor all guests using the pool and recreation facilities at all times.
- Ensure that all pool rules and hotel safety regulations are strictly enforced.
- Respond quickly and efficiently to any emergency situations, including performing rescues and administering first aid/CPR when necessary.
- Provide professional assistance to guests, offering information about pool facilities and services.
- Conduct routine inspections of the pool area to ensure cleanliness, safety, and proper equipment functioning.
- Ensure pool water quality and safety by checking and reporting chemical levels to engineering/maintenance teams.
- Prepare incident and accident reports when required.
- Maintain professional appearance, grooming, and behavior according to hotel standards.
- Support recreation and hotel team with guest activities, as needed.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Certified Lifeguard with valid CPR and First Aid certifications.
- Previous experience as a lifeguard, preferably in a hotel, resort, or hospitality environment.
- Strong swimming and rescue skills.
- Ability to remain calm and act quickly in emergencies.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Knowledge of pool safety regulations and guidelines.
- Physically fit and able to remain alert for extended periods.
