GENERAL ROLE :


  • As Lifeguard at Miraval The Red Sea, your main role is ensuring the safety, supervision, and well-being of all guests using the aquatic facilities at Miraval The Red Sea.
  • This role requires constant vigilance, emergency preparedness, and a proactive approach to maintaining a safe and enjoyable environment.
  • The Lifeguard will oversee the Aquatic Centre, pools, and water-based activities, enforce safety protocols, and provide swift emergency response when needed.
  • The position aligns with Miraval’s philosophy of well-being, mindfulness, and guest-centered experiences while maintaining compliance with Saudi Arabia’s health and safety regulations.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES :


Please note that the responsibilities outlined below are not exhaustive. Miraval The Red Sea colleagues continuously innovate in caring for the needs of the business, their guests, and their colleagues. As Lifeguard you will need to:


Aquatic Safety & Guest Supervision

  • Monitor all aquatic areas, ensuring guest safety and rule compliance.
  • Provide lifesaving interventions, CPR, and first aid as needed.
  • Enforce pool rules, water safety guidelines, and resort policies.
  • Maintain constant surveillance of pools, ensuring proactive prevention of accidents.
  • Assist guests in safe entry and exit from water facilities, offering support when required.
  • Educate guests on safe swimming techniques, hydration, and sun protection.


Emergency Preparedness & Risk Management

  • Be prepared to respond immediately to water-related emergencies.
  • Administer CPR, first aid, and emergency rescue techniques when necessary.
  • Conduct regular safety checks of all aquatic equipment, including lifesaving devices.
  • Report any hazards, equipment malfunctions, or safety concerns to management promptly.
  • Participate in emergency response drills and risk assessment training.


Operational Excellence & Compliance

  • Maintain clean, organized, and hazard-free pool decks, equipment, and surrounding areas.
  • Ensure water quality meets health and safety standards, coordinating with maintenance teams.
  • Adhere to Saudi Arabia’s hospitality and health regulations regarding water safety.
  • Assist in the coordination of aquatic fitness classes, water therapy sessions, and wellness programs.


Team Collaboration & Professional Growth

  • Work closely with fitness instructors, swim coaches, and recreation staff to enhance the guest experience.
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to junior staff or seasonal lifeguards.
  • Participate in ongoing professional training and certification renewals.
  • Support Miraval’s vision by maintaining a positive, guest-focused, and professional attitude.


QUALIFICATIONS

  • Certified Lifeguard (Red Cross, Ellis & Associates, RLSS, or equivalent).
  • Certification in CPR, First Aid, and AED (Automated External Defibrillator) required.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience as a lifeguard in a resort, wellness center, or aquatic facility.
  • Strong swimming ability and proficiency in water rescue techniques.
  • Ability to remain alert, focused, and responsive in high-pressure situations.
  • Proficiency in English; knowledge of Arabic is a plus.
  • Passion for guest safety, well-being, and providing a supportive environment.
