Lifting and Rigging Supervisor

1. Overseeing all Rigging and lifting activities in process and non-process areas for the safe exeuction.

2. Coordinating and supervising all Rigging and lifting operations.

3. Ensuring the application of correct Rigging and lifting techniques at site for all lifting operations.

4. Ensure adherence to CPLO approved lifting plans, safety standards and company policies.

5. Briefing all lifting team members on the Lifting Plan, risk control measure and safe lifting procedure before the commencement of any lifting operation.

6. Assist CPLO in his responsibilities.

7. Perform site surveillance activities to ensure the implementation of safe lifting and rigging practices.

8. Familiar with all applicable International standards for safe lifting operation and Inspectiion of various lifting equipment.

9. Familiar with various Qatar Lifting equipment regulations and procedures for safe lifting and rigging practices.

10. Be practically experienced with various Rigging and lifting techniques for safe lifting operations.

11. Perform contractor lifting equipment Inspection for the acceptance to use in DEL facility.

12. Develop, Review and approve Non-Routine lifting plans. Perform Rigging calculations and ensures that all lifts are carried out safely.

13. Perform Task Risk assessment TRA of all critical rigging & lifting jobs on plant site.

14. Report all accidents, incidents or near misses as per company policies and procedures.

15. Comply with all company Health, Safety & Environmental policies, and procedures.

16. Participates in on-the-job training of assigned Qatari developees, monitors their progress and makes recomendations on how to support their learning and progression.

17. Performs other similar or related duties as assigned.

Educational Requirements / Qualifications:

· Diploma in Mechanical Engineering (3 Full years course), or equivalent.

· LEEA appointed person course.

· LEEA Diploma courses for performing various Lifting equipment Inspection.

· Valid Rigging Supervisor Training course certificate issued by DEL recognized Third Party Training service provider.

Trained and familiar with Autocad software for developing lifting plans.

Experience Requirements:

· Minimum of 12 years similar experience in Oil and Gas Industry, with at least 5 years similar experience in Gulf countries.

· Have a good command in English language (Speak/read/write) for effective communication.

· Have strong administrative and supervisory skills to schedule, monitor and control the lifting equipment personnel and lifting operations.

· Have capacity and capability to perform Rigging activities.

Pay: QAR5,000.00 - QAR6,000.00 per month
