Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate all lifting and rigging activities at site as per approved lifting plans and safety standards.
• Ensure cranes, lifting accessories, slings, shackles, hooks, and rigging tools are inspected and certified before use.
• Lead riggers, crane operators, and lifting crews for safe execution of daily lifting operations.
• Conduct toolbox talks and safety meetings before starting work activities.
• Verify load weight, crane capacity, lifting radius, and site conditions before lifting operations.
• Ensure compliance with company HSE policies, Qatar Energy requirements, and oil & gas safety regulations.
• Coordinate with engineers, supervisors, and HSE personnel for smooth work execution.
• Review lifting plans, method statements, and risk assessments before critical lifting activities.
• Monitor heavy and critical lifting operations to ensure safety and operational efficiency.
• Stop unsafe work practices and immediately report hazards, incidents, or near misses.
• Maintain proper communication between crane operators and rigging teams during lifting operations.
• Prepare daily reports, lifting records, and equipment inspection documentation.
• Train and guide junior riggers and lifting crew on safe lifting procedures and best practices.
• Ensure lifting activities are completed within project schedule and quality standards.

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of experience as Lifting Foreman in Oil & Gas projects.
• Good knowledge of lifting operations, rigging procedures, and crane safety.
• Ability to read lifting plans and crane load charts.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
• Familiarity with Permit to Work (PTW) system and HSE procedures.

Preferred Certifications

• Lifting Foreman / Rigger Certification
• Valid Third-Party Lifting Certification
• H2S & Safety Training
• T-BOSIET (preferred for offshore projects)
• First Aid & Fire Fighting Training

Education

• Diploma / ITI / Technical qualification preferred.

Pay: QAR3,000.00 - QAR3,500.00 per month
