Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Lifting Specialist to oversee and manage lifting and rigging operations for Oil & Gas projects, shutdowns, turnarounds, tank erection activities, offshore logistics, and heavy/critical lifts. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning, supervising, and ensuring the safe execution of all lifting operations in compliance with international standards, project requirements, and HSE regulations.


Mandatory Requirements & Qualifications:

Experience:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in lifting and rigging operations within the Oil & Gas industry.
  • Proven experience in shutdowns, turnarounds, tank erection projects, offshore logistics, and heavy/critical lifting operations.

Education:

  • Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.

Technical Skills:

  • Proficiency in preparing lifting plans using AutoCAD.
  • Strong knowledge of BS 7121 standards and lifting regulations.
  • Experience in risk assessments, method statements, and Job Safety Analysis (JSA).
  • Expertise in lifting equipment inspection, certification, and maintenance.

Mandatory Criteria:

  • LEEA Appointed Person (AP) Certification.
  • Valid TUV Certification.
  • Strong knowledge of lifting operations, rigging practices, and crane management.
  • Excellent communication and coordination skills.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and execute lifting operations in accordance with project specifications, HSE regulations, and BS 7121 standards.
  • Develop detailed lifting plans for basic, intermediate, complex, heavy, and critical lifts using AutoCAD.
  • Conduct risk assessments, method statements, and JSAs to ensure safe lifting practices.
  • Supervise rigging teams and coordinate with contractors, engineers, and HSE personnel.
  • Inspect, maintain, and certify lifting equipment, accessories, and rigging stores.
  • Train, assess, and qualify riggers, crane operators, and lifting personnel.
  • Ensure readiness and availability of lifting equipment and accessories.
  • Monitor crane activities, coordinate heavy crane scheduling, and supervise lifting operations on site.
  • Prepare erection schemes for heavy equipment and over-dimensional loads.
  • Provide technical support during audits, shutdowns, and turnaround projects.
  • Liaise with clients and ensure compliance with project requirements and lifting-related deliverables.
