Lifting Supervisor

Key Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, and oversee all lifting activities.
• Supervise lifting operations involving EOT cranes, overhead cranes, chain blocks, mobile cranes, and tandem lifts etc.
• Ensure proper load assessments, crane selection, sling configuration, rigging methods, and lifting techniques.
• Verify ground conditions, load weight, center of gravity, radius, and lifting path before operation.
• Coordinate and communicate clearly with crane operators, riggers, signalmen, and workshop technicians.
• Ensure all lifting activities comply with international safety best practices and organizational lifting standards.
• Prepare Lifting Plans, assist in Risk Assessments, and critical lifting procedures.
• Ensure all lifting gears, slings, shackles, hooks, D-shackles, and load-bearing equipment are maintained, certified, and tagged.
• Stop any unsafe work immediately and implement corrective actions.
• Maintain up-to-date records for cranes, EOTs, hoists, and lifting accessories including inspection logs.
• Coordinate with maintenance teams to report defects, perform periodic inspections, and ensure equipment availability.
• Verify that equipment utilized complies with recognized engineering and safety standards.
• Ensure proper documentation of lifting gear registers and crane inspection reports.
• Coordinate with planning and production teams to schedule lifting activities as per workshop workload

Experience

• 8 to 12 Years proven Experience

Qualification

• DAE Mechanical/Graduate.
• LEEA Certification (Advanced Programme)
• Rigger Level 1 Certification
