🎬 About The Role
We are looking for a
diligent, hands-on, and quick-learning Lighting & Camera Assistant
to support our cinematography and production teams during live shoots.
This is a
foundational technical role
that offers deep exposure to professional filmmaking and production workflows. From lighting setups and rig prep to on-set operations and equipment handling, you’ll play a key part in helping bring each visual story to life.
You’ll work closely with
cinematographers, lighting designers, and production leads
, building the skills and discipline essential for advancing into future
camera or lighting design roles.
🎯 Key Responsibilities
Lighting Setup & Management

Assist in setting up and adjusting lighting equipment including stands, softboxes, reflectors, gels, and modifiers.

Understand lighting directions (key, fill, rim, ambient) and execute lighting changes during live shoots.
Camera Preparation & Support

Help assemble camera rigs, mount lenses, prep accessories, and power up camera systems.

Maintain readiness of all gear before each shoot — batteries, SD cards, tripods, and cables.
Power & Cable Management

Handle safe power distribution and routing using extension boxes and cable ties.

Keep cables neatly managed and secured to ensure crew safety and workflow efficiency.
On-Shoot Assistance

Be the on-set support for cinematographers — repositioning stands, adjusting lights, changing batteries, and prepping lenses.

Stay alert, responsive, and proactive during shoots, anticipating team needs.
Equipment Transport & Safety

Safely carry, load, and organize camera and lighting gear for indoor/outdoor shoots.

Ensure equipment is packed, labeled, and protected during travel and storage.
Maintenance & Post-Shoot Tasks

Assist with cleaning and inspecting equipment after every shoot.

Support data management — transferring footage and labeling drives when needed.
🧠Qualifications & Requirements

Experience: 0–2 years of experience in film or video production (internship/freelance experience accepted).

Technical Knowledge: Basic understanding of lighting behavior (soft vs. hard light, color temperature, diffusion).

Equipment Familiarity: Hands-on experience with tripods, LED panels, DSLRs, or cinema cameras preferred.

Physical Readiness: Must be comfortable lifting and moving heavy production gear.
